Nokia N97 interface updated

The Nokia N97 is the most talked about smartphone of the moment but it's still far from complete. The latest news from the Nokia Innovations Newsdesk is that the Nokia N97 interface has been updated. There is even a new video showing you exactly what we can expect.

A video posted on the Innovations Newsdesk gives us an updated glance at the user interface on the Nokia N97. There is no real hands-on look, rather this is an update of an earlier promo video. We wish they'd be a little more in the way of detail but we can see it's looking good with a far more fluid design to it than current S60 devices.

If the video is to be believed, the interface has a far more modular approach to it, similar to the BBC homepage, allowing you to promote and arrange icons and dialogue boxes as you prefer. IF this is the case then we're in for a storming device when the Nokia N97 ships later this year.

There is little word yet as to whether the final version has gone Gold with preview versions of the Nokia N97 being shown in New York over the weekend.

Check out the video and see what you think – does the Nokia N97 interface have the makings of a 'classic; smartphone?

Updated? Isn’t that the same video that’s been knocking around for a while now? The modular thing was on there before. If they actually get the phone interface to look like that I’ll be impressed, right now it doesn’t.
