We’ve already had some mighty fine looking smartphones announced today at Mobile World Congres but the Nokia 6710 Navigator only adds to the mix, bringing with it a host of tools for getting around by car or on foot.

It's another phone that meets a key market, and looks good into the bargain.

The slide-away keypad keeps the Nokia 6710 Navigator down to a manageable 104.8 x 50.1 x 14.9mm size, while the 117g weight isn’t too much of a burden on the pocket.

The Nokia 6710 Navigator gets its name due to the heavy focus on mapping and navigation, with even a dedicated key for access to navigation tools being a key feature of the phone.

The dedicated navigation button allows you to instantly load up maps and even zoom and move around them with ease. What’s more, you’ll even get easy access to Maps on Ovi, Nokia’s own mapping service.

It’s not only navigation features this phone is packing, as you’ll find a 2.6-inch screen that has been optimised for outdoor use, which means you’ll be able to read maps and get around easier than with a traditional phone.

As with the Nokia 6720 classic, you’ll find a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and full video support. What’s more, this is another S60 phone, so it works with Share on Ovi, allowing you to make the most of your media by sharing it with friends and family.

Connectivity is the now standard HSDPA/HSUPA, for the best possible download speeds. The screen is a great size for making the most of web-browsing and instant messaging. You’ll also find Wi-Fi and Bluetooth fitted as standard.

So, if you know mapping and getting around are key features you need from a phone, it looks like the Nokia 6710 Navigator could well be your next new phone. We’ll bring you details of pricing and availability as soon as we know.
