The Nokia 5800 is very much in the headlines of late, no more so than for the growing number of games the touchscreen device is supporting. While it’s not an N-Gage compatible device, there are plenty of games coming out for the touchscreen wonder.

We were alerted to these games over on the Symbian World blog, with the guys pointing out that in order to play these games, ‘first you need to disable the onboard keyboard. Just go to Settings > App Manager > Installed apps > Find the game that you have just installed > option > suite settings > on-screen keyboard > OFF.’ It’s a tip worth making the most of as these games look great fun.
When the story surfaced yesterday that some had hacked a Nokia N95 running Windows 3.1, we thought it odd but a little necessary. However, it wasn’t until Symbian Freak but the spin on it we liked that the story moved from ‘so what?’ to ‘ Interesting but useless’ pile. Basically, it’s a DOS emulator that has been designed for older PC formats.
As the guys point out, ‘Anyway, Symbian enthusiast Marcinprv, has managed to successfully run fully functional Windows 3.1 on a Symbian device, mighty Nokia N95 to be precise by using excellent Kolijoco's S60 port of mentioned open source x86 emulator.’

Here’s a cool little discovery from the chaps over at The Symbian Blog – copying text from your S60 browser. Now, we know there is no simple way of getting words from your S60 browser and copying them into other apps.
There are a number of workarounds but Mobitol that the guys are highlighting is a cool beta app that, as they point out, ‘All you need to do is visit Mobitol, enter the URL of the page you want the text from and select go. The entire text on that webpage will be put into a text box.’ How easy is that? Sounds like a good one to us!
