The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic has been announced and will be with us sooner than expected, as Nokia has put a launch date of Q2 on this device – which makes it any time in the next three months.

So, what can we expect from the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic? Join us as we take a tech spec tour of the latest addition to the XpressMusic S60 range.

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is all about the music, that and the social networking as Nokia seems to have rammed as much kit as possible into a device that weighs in at just 135g.

You'll find a design that clearly chares the same DNA with the Nokia E75 but it's more compact.

When it comes to spec, you'll find 100MB of internal memory on-board, with 8GB microSD in the box. It'll support up to 16GB, though, so plenty of space to make this your primary music player.

The 2.4-inch screen supports the standard 240 x 320 pixels but it's big enough to get the job done. You'll find N-Gage, Comes With Music and Nokia Music Store all supported in their own territories. The 3.2-megapixel camera comes with Carl Zeiss optics and 8x digital zoom with flash, making this a well-rounded and great little entertainment device.

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is expected to begin shipping with an estimated retail price of 280 EUR .

Today, I accidentally dropped my Nokia 5370 Music XpressMusic in water. It was still ON when it fell. I quickly removed it. Now i am scared it is not working even after i dried it properly.
Do I have hope for this phone i so much like?

If you’ve literally just dropped it in water – turn it off as quickly as possible, and leave it turned off for a week or two so everything inside dries out completely – you don’t want there to be any water left inside the next time you try to turn your phone on.

If you’ve tried to turn it on again while there’s still water on the components, there’s a good chance it’ll be broken – but if you let it dry off properly first it may be OK.

Otherwise, can you claim for it on your house insurance?
