We know there are a number of key people out there that are already using the Nokia N97 but for most of us, it's simply a case of waiting and hoping that it comes down the line soon. After all, June still seems a long way away.

However, that's not stopped the first reviews of the Nokia N97 coming out. For instance, the guys over at Phone Report have run an in-depth look at the device and really like what it has to offer.

Phone Report managed to spend more time with the Nokia N97 than anyone else by the look of the number of photos they took, which gives us a greta indication of size and feel quality of the handset.

The report walks us through most of the salient points, such as build quality, the finish and even how well the slide-out QWERTY handles. There are also some cracking photos he's taken of the phone that really give you a feel for what's coming down the line.  Summing up the hands-on, Chhaya states, 'the N97 felt very much like a potential success'.

The gadget-gods over at T3 have flagged up their report earlier this week of the Nokia N97 as a review but we were disappointed to see that it's more of a quick overview than a true hands-on. It covers the usual features and checks over what we can expect. Overall, they feel that it's 'definitely Nokia's most complete handset yet', which can't be bad!

The thing is, we want a real hands-on that looks at the software, how well Nokia has integrated all the key apps and how smoothly it works. So, it seems, for the time being at least, the wait continues....
