Nokia Magnifier has been developed by Nokia Beta Labs and offers a novel and fairly unique way to make the most of your Nokia’s camera functions.
Instead of just being used as a camera, it allows you to use it as a giant electronic magnifying glass, making it easier to read small print, for example. The lens picks up what you want to view, while the Nok's screen shows it in blazing detail.
Sure, adding a zoom function you can view back on your Nok’s screen is one thing, but Nokia Magnifier works by adding a higher degree of stability to the device, so reducing hand shake. It's these adding features that make it a truly innovative tool.
We first brought you news that Nokia Beta Labs was working on Nokia Magnifier a few weeks ago. It was available to download then but has already met with an update, which can gone live today. Nokia Magnifier also adds a slice of sharpening effect to images, so they appear sharp and in the case of text, easier to read.
What we like about this app is that it’s part of a much broader innovative that Nokia has put in place, which is the Nokia Accessibility program. This program helps disabled users make the most of communication, so whether it’s the Nokia Wireless Loopset LPS-5 for easy listening, or Nokia Conversation and Nokia AudioBooks for those with sight issues, there are active ways for all users to make the most of their S60 Nokia devices.
This is an ongoing initiative with a whole of apps and services being developed. Why not find out more about the Nokia Accessibility program?
