“Let’s pull the plug on energy waste” is the message that's being spread on a campaign Nokia is driving in participation with the WWF.
EarthHour 2009 is a little over two days away when we should show our support for the planet we all share.
This Saturday at 8.30pm, switch off your lights and show support for earthhour.
Nokia supports and participates in earthhour, which is organised by WWF,
However, Nokia is clearly in the driving seat to make change this year with a new site PlanetUnplug.com, which comes with the leading message “let’s pull the plug on energy waste”.
We can all get involved simply by pulling out the plug on a device once we've finished using it. This in itself may not seem a big deal but if everyone did it, the difference it would make would be enormous.
It's not just about getting the message to you, PlanetUnplug is about helping you get the message out to your friends and families. There are a host of blogging tools and you can even get involved by creating your own plug and pledging to do your bit. We've got involved and want others to do the same.
So, just to recap - What are you doing at 8.30pm local time this Saturday 28th March 2009?
That's right, you're doing your bit to save the planet. Sit in the dark, make like a spooky spectre otherwise, as the story goes, the pretty kittens get it!
