With Twitter the most talked about service of the year, does no one use Facebook or MySpace anymore?, it seems that if you haven't got an S60 app in development then you've missed the boat, as the best app to date has just been released.

The front runner for best Twitter app of all time is currently Gravity, which hit S60 devices last week. It's been in Beta for a little while but the final release is a huge leap forward, check out what could well be the best Twitter app ever...

Twitter seems to be taking over the world of late, even topping Google Blogs as a means of searching for content in recent months, and there have been a number of Twitter apps for S60 devices, such as Stew and Twittix, but it seems Gravity has pulled them all down to Earth with a bump.

Gravity has been developed by German company mobileways.de, who released the final version last week. You can get it for a 10 day free trial – after that it will cost you 7.78 Euros. The guys over at Nokia Conversations have had a good play with the app and are backing it as the best Twitter app yet.

If you want a little more proof then head over to fonearena, who have done a rather nice video walkthrough of what you can expect.

Gravity v1.06 is currently available for S60 3rd Edition and S60 5th Edition smartphones and is the first fully-featured Twitter client to supports multiple accounts, Twitter Search, Laconica, TwitPic and even has a really intuitive interface.
