We can now officially get excited that the Nokia N97 is about to go on sale, as the device has made its first official appearance on FCC. The office of Engineering and Technology has a host of technical facts and figures on its site for the curious to paw over.
The curious thing is, the pictures Nokia have submitted with the application are of a pink Nokia N97, shurely some misteak? Read on for the full facts…
Nokia has indeed posted the Nokia N97 to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which means it’s official applied to release the device in the States.
According to the application, the Nokia N97 will have GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA band II support, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The curious thing is that people are getting rather excited about photos posted with the application. As it shows a rather fetching pink colour of Nokia N97.
It’s worth taking a trip to the FCC to take a look for yourself, as the extra photos submitted actually show how badly the images have been taken.
We’ve posted a few of the later pics below and you can clearly see it'’ just bad photography. Incidentally, if you take a look in the SAR Setup document you’ll see a couple of shots of the N97 without the funny pink effect.
So, no pink Nokia N97 for the time being but you never know, if demand it out there then…
