Nokia View View has been updated by the good guys at Nokia Beta Labs, bringing with it a number of changes, which as they say on their blog posting 'takes another small step to make you feel closer to your friends!'
Nokia Friend View is a location-based social media tool that allows you to locate your friends in any given area. It's great if you're trying to meet up in a new spot, or think someone is running late.
Nokia View View for S60 smartphones has been given an update by Nokia Beta Labs. This latest version brings with it a number of feature changes that make it a whole lot easier to use.
The app works with Nokia Maps and this latest version now comes with Friend alerts, which will automatically update whenever you log on to the service. What's more, you can now keep it running in the background, or as the blog posting says:
Now you can keep Friend View in the background in “Normal” or “Active” modes (options: Refresh Mode) and a “pling-plung” from Friend View will tell you that your friend is close by so you can meet. You will of course get alerted as well if Friend View is in use in foreground.
There is also a reminder to try out the new shortcuts:
