It would seem that the Nokia N97 isn't the only awaited device to finally see a launch this June. It seems the Nokia 6700 Classic may well see itself hitting the streets at the same time, at least if the latest bit of rumour mongering is to be believed. Get the full facts after the jump...
The Nokia 6700 Classic is one of those phones that looks to all intents and purposes like a standard candybar Nok. However, Nokia is really pushing the design of this phone, with it’s premium materials and stylish finish.
We feel it's a cracking little phone that will appeal to mainstream users and business bods alike.
The key features of the 6700 are the 2.2-inch QVGA display supporting 16.7 million true colours , the 5-megapixel camera with full auto-focus and flash. However, it's the inclusion of A-GPS and Nokia Maps in what is essentially a Series 40 phone that really picks this device out and highlights that Nokia is after cramming as much tech as possible into all its phones. So much so, we even thought it to be one of the Top Five Nokia phones for 2009, it looks that good!

Well, it seems the wait for this phone is nearly over, as Carphone Warehouse has posted up it believes the Nokia 6700 Classic will be with us in June. While it's not allowing you to pre-order, you can sign up to be notified when it's set to ship.
This follows on from the news that Phones Limited has posted that August 31st will be the date the SIM free version will ship. While it's saying this is official, there has been no word from Nokia as to the final release date.
Carphone is edging its bets, as its added a disclaimer, saying this is an 'expected date' so may change. However, with no official word from Nokia when the Nokia 6700 Classic will ship this seems as likely a date as any, for now!
