Nokia has announced a completely new service, or collaboration tool as it’s calling it, called Nokia Easy Meet. It’s been released by the Nokia Beta Labs but comes with a supporting website and host of tools.

Nokia Easy Meet is a mobile collaboration tool allowing users to share content between mobile devices as well as desktop PCs.

Nokia Easy Meet is an extremely easy tool to use, as it doesn’t require anything installing on your device. All you need is a device, whether a mobile device or PC, with access to a web browser.

Once you’ve loaded up the Nokia Easy Meet website, you can simply create a meeting, either as a one-off or part of a longer scheduled process.

Sure, we’ve seen online collaboration tools before but Nokia reckons this version is better suited to smartphones and other mobile devices, allowing such devices to fully participate for the first time. Content can come directly from the host’s device or from remote servers (via OVI Files).

Nokia Beta Labs has posted a list of features currently supported in Nokia Easy Meet:

* File Sharing, supporting PPT, JPEG and PNG

* Chat

* Meeting Minutes

* Whiteboard

* Gesturing

* File Downloads

* Participant Awareness

* Remote Content Access (OVI Files).

* One click to join a conference, including voice conference

We expect Nokia Easy meet to be a part of something pretty special, so it's worth checking out the service now, as feedback on all Nokia beta apps is fully appreciated by the Beta Labs bods.
