If you live in London, or know anyone who does and owns a Nokia 5800, then tell they can now get a working version of the London Tube Map on their favourite phone. This free and easy to use application could mean you'll never need to rely on a paper based map ever again.
No matter whether you’ve lived in London for a long time, or simply visit, you’ll find that carrying a Tube Map around is an essential part of life. However, things just a whole lot easier with the introduction of the interactive London Tube Map from Pixels Beat Paper.
It’s not London the guys at Pixels Beat Paper cover, as they’ve also got maps for New Work, Paris and the Tokyo metro systems, all of which are essential to helping you get around.
While it’s not particularly interactive, it doesn’t give you Points of Interest or even things to look out for on your travels, the latest London Tube Map is fully draggable, so you can work out where you are and where you need to get off.
It’s been designed as a widget that sits on your Nokia. With a minimum install you can load it and forget about it, just referring to it when you need to work out your next stop.
It’s something we’re downloading and intend to use the next time we’re in the ‘Big Smoke’, so will be putting it to the test to see if it makes life a little easier.
