Nokia may have put pre-orders up for the Nokia N97 is the United States and even set up the Nokia N97 Members Club for Sweden and Italy but her in the UK we're still waiting for an official announcement. In the meantime, it's being left to the operators to keep us guessing as to what date the Nokia N97 will ship.
The latest, according to one source, is O2, who claim it will ship in June – ahead of Vodafone. Check out the full details after the jump...
The Nokia N97 is coming to the UK, we know that much for fact. The question is, how soon will it make an appearance? Vodafone has said that it will be July at the earliest before we see the device shipping on its networks.
However, our good friends over at Pocket-Lint have been talking to O2 who told them, 'the Nokia N97 will be available on O2 through the Carphone Warehouse.' Surely that's good news? The largest independent in the UK carrying the smartphone of the year?
At one point, O2, along with Orange, were rumoured not to want to take the Nokia N97 due to Skype being included. However, that internet gossip seems to have abated in favour of O2 being one of the first out the gate with Nokia's new flagship model, the Nokia N97.
Sadly, there is no other news about actual date or pricing. So, while we know all the operators are lining up to get the Nokia N97, we're still in a quandary as to the final line-up!
UPDATE: We've just spoken to O2 and they've kindly informed us that it won't be going on sale in their own shops - so you won't be able to walk into a high-street O2 store and pick up the Nokia N97. However, you WILL be able to walk into a Carphone Warehouse store and pick up the Nokia N97 exclusively through O2 in June!
