Nokia 5800 Comes with Music sim-free

We've just got word that the Nokia 5800 will be available SIM free with all-you-can-eat music service Comes with Music from this Friday at the Nokia Flagship store on Regent Street. It'll also be available for the same price, £299, at the Nokia store online. What's more, the first 100 customers through the door between midday and 1pm on Friday will be able to snag a 50 per cent discount, providing they hand over two old devices.

This comes on the back of the news of the Nokia 5800 Comes with Music edition going on sale on Orange from May 29. Those interested in a contract can pick up a free 5800 and as much music as they want for two years for £25 a month on an Orange tariff.

If you fancy picking up the half price sim free version though, you just need to bring two old devices (make sure one of them is an MP3 device - Nokia will even accept an old iPod as collateral!) and £149.50 in hard cash (or card) and you'll walk out with a brand new Nokia 5800 and a year's worth of Comes with Music. Now, that's not a bad deal.

Over the course of the year, you'd only need to download an album or two a month (and an extra one at Christmas) to justify the purchase. This is only open to the first 100 customers though, so you'll need to be there on the button at midday to get yours. You'll need to queue up behind us though!

Anyone thinking of picking this phone up SIM free or has everyone already got their the 5800 without CWM on monthly plans?

Why cant Nokia sell all music phones with 12months CWM simfree WORLDWIDE!!!!!!!
Why do i have to pay for my music when all my neighbours across the pond get CWM FREE!!!!!!
iPhone, Omnia HD, Samsung I900, Palm Pre all beginning to look very attractive alternatives.
Apple’s customer’s worldwide have and get acess to all services.
But UK Nokia customers get Comes With Music. While the rest of us twiddle our thumbs in frustration.
Is Nokia Racist…… Yes I for one certainly think so.
    Time to wake up Nokia.

It’s not a case of Nokia limiting CWM – give then chance they’d get it out there tomorrow – sadly, the record industry needs to be dealt with territory by territory. It’s the record industry not allowing CWM to roll out faster, so if anyone is to blame it’s the weekend rockers!

    Fair cop, Mikey.
