Nokia N97 in Black and White

The Nokia N97 is well and truly on the radar. We know it's going to costs £499 (inc. VAT) if you want to buy it SIM free from Nokia online. We also know that Carphone Warehouse will be selling it exclusively for O2, and that Vodafone will start to sell the Nokia N97 in July. The only question left is which version will you buy: Black or White?

The Nokia N97 is Nokia's new flagship smartphone and is set to be THE phone of choice this summer.

It's a 3.5-inch touchscreen tech monster that uses the latest Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system and comes with everything you need to get the job done, from the full QWERTY keyboard on a unique tilt axle, to the built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.It'll also be the first Nokia device to ship with built-in support for Ovi Store straight from the off.

The Nokia N97 will ship in two different colours – Black and White. Both devices have the same tech spec but the colour you choose says so much more about what you want to project. Is the Nokia N97 in White all about being uber-cool and sophisticated? While the Nokia N97 in Black is all about business and straight to the point?     I wanted silver – but I hear vodaphone are only going to have black and they have the best network coverage in my area :(

    I’ll be goinf for the black so there’s more contrast with the colours on the screen. Can’t wait!!!

    As to the white one, its actually white and chrome trim. The pictures nokia shows are brushed and so the metal edge seems alot more flush somewhat like stainless steel dull look and not as shiny. In person its very reflective chrome.

    looks nicer in black hopefuly b at o2 very soon :) ive heard an end of may release but not sure if thhis is world wide or only usa hopefuly world wide as i live in the uk :)

    Does no one fancy a White Nokia N97, everyone seems to be plumbing for Black – what does this say about us all – everyone buying it for business or anyone looking for a little pleasure from the N97?

    White…For Sure. Looks cleaner; and is rather unique in the smartphone landscape:) Hopefully 3 get white over black

    I also ordered the white one. Somehow I like that better than black, especially when the background color of the screen is white (which is easier on the eyes). Also white is much closer to my old smart phones/organisers that were all metallic.

    Some people are saying that white would be especially for women, but I don’t understand why. Still I am getting a white one.

    I want the N900 in black. If I had to settle for the N97, I’d want that in black too. It would look cleaner.

    wow. 11 more days :D can’t wait. i still haven’t decided whether to go with white or black? so far i’m more on the black side ‘cos all my phones sofar were black (like 5800 and n95 8gb) and i really like that colour. But then again the white looks more summer like or “fresh” or i don’t even know how to say it :D
    But when i get to think of it. is this phone worth 500 bucks? i mean it doenst have 3D acceleration the processor is crappy and the camera is only 5 megapixels. Somehow the samsung i8910 HD seems like a better choice. And luckily for me it runs the same OS :D woop woop

    but i have to wait like 6 weeks -.-
    but i cant wait.. im thinking bout getting thw white one.. coz my dad also wants one, but i think he suits black more :P but he probs wont get it anyway.. and i like the white.. but i also like the black.. i dont mind :)
