Nokia 6700 to launch 19th June

The Nokia 6700 is set to launch at the end of June, as predicted a couple of months ago, and will go onsale in the Regent Street store, London, as well as other Nokia branded shops from the 19th June.  You can also place a pre-order on line now. Check out the full details after the jump...

The Nokia 6700 is finally being released and you'll be able to get your hands on one from the 19th June from any Nokia branded retail store, or a week later from other stores. What's more, the Nokia 6700 will cost £269 (inc. VAT) SIM free and you can pre-order it online now.

At the start of the year we voted the Nokia 6700 as possibly the fourth most important smartphone launch of 2009. Why? Well, it takes many of the features you'll find in Nokia's current high-end smartphone line up and brings them to the mass market in the form of a S40 phone.

So, you'll find a 5-Megapixel camera fitted as standard, assisted GPS with full Nokia Maps and even a blistering fast HSDPA connection. Supported by the full Ovi apps, you'll be able to make the most of staying connected with family and friends, uploading video and photos online, as well as getting the best online experience yet from a mid-range phone.

The Nokia 6700 has a premium design and comes with a full aluminium casing and a 2.2-inch display all in a candybar format. So, are you impressed with the Nokia 6700 and would you switch your current high-end Nokia for something a little more mid-range like the Nokia 6700? Let us know in the Comments below.
