Nokia Photo Browser was first introduced earlier this year onto Nokia Beta Labs but as with all these things, it's been tinkered with and updated largely due to the feedback the Lab guys have had from users. As a result, the latest version of Nokia Photo Browser is quite a hefty update. Check out the updated Nokia Photo Browser after the jump...

When Nokia Photo Browser was introduced back in March, Beta Labs admitted that functionality was a little basic but this seems to be something that has been put right, as a major update of Nokia Photo Browser offers a host of new features.

Among the new features include better image quality when zooming. Apparently, there is still a little time lag getting the zoomed image to its sharpest image but this is to be expected from a Beta app. Image rotation and deletion is now possible from the Menu, as well as being able to bring up the menu by a long press when in grid view.

However, the best news has to be that it's now generally faster and slicker to use. Rendering times and the overall speed of Nokia Photo Browser has been immensely improved.

On the Nokia Beta Labs blog, along with pointing out the changes, the Lab guys suggest that Nokia Photo Browser works best with touchscreen devices, such as the Nokia 5800, Nokia N97, and the upcoming Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. With this in mind, Beta Labs will be concentrating their efforts mostly on getting the best from Nokia Photo Browser for such devices.
