i just bought this phone last week and im takin it back. i had a 6220c with 5mp camera and 30 frames per sec video. it also had an amazing mic and amazing speakers for play back. i recorded live music gigs in dark noisy bars and they always came up perfect. then it died. firstly the buttons then the screen because i threw it across the room... anyway id take that phone back anyday. i bought 6700c for/expecting the same tec but i was wrong..
this 6700c has faster internet in comparison and far better buttons that prob wont stick and give up like my 6220c. it looks leaner and more modern to (for a classic model). but it is polyphonic! my previous ring tone (mp3 i think) now doesnt sound the same. its seriously lacking bass and loudness. this doesnt even have the standard 'beep beep' message tone. instead it has a variety of echoey futuristic tinny noises that barely resemble a beep.
also the capture and volume/zoom buttons are very thin indeed, fidgety id say. i found i couldnt personalise alot of the things i could on the 6220 also. like pics for the calling screen, the key buttons can set to 'inbox' and 'new mesage' spacificly but not the full messaging menu. so to go to sent msgs or drafts you quicker going thru the menu which defeats the purpose of quick key buttons. the mesage screen was a little awkward to at first i kept sending blank messages but im ontop of that now lol.
i guess a few of you will be saying these are relativly small things, but these are importand to me in a phone and if you spend £150 on a thing you will be hearing and using every day for god knows how long you want it to sound rite and polyphonic doesnt to me im affraid. (sorry if this looks like a rant, ive already writtin more than i expected)

I tried couple of times to turn off the camera sound. I dont think u can turn off the sound. It has 5 megapixel camera which is one features make it better than other phone, thats why the didn't put that option

@Tia - I'd say the X6, it's just easier to use and the dual-flash means you can get some pretty good images even in low light
