How tough is your Nokia phone? Tougher than you'd imagine. So, how much tougher would that make a specifically 'rugged' handset. Scientific tests can be a wonderful thing for quantifying the exact tolerance of a device but when it comes to proving the toughness of a device in the 'real world', you can't really beat, well beating it with a club!

There's an old adage that says, 'treat em mean, keep em keen' but the guys over on Nokia Conversations seem to have taken the idea to heart, posting a couple of videos that put a whole new slant on the idea.

If you're wondering what they're up to, Nokia has a new rugged device in the offing and they wanted to prove that it was tougher than old [rugby] boots and more than up to surviving a round of golf. In the videos the guys put the phone through its paces and prove that at the end of it that it still works!
