The first thing you have to ask yourself about the Nokia N86 8MP is ‘do I really need a carry case for it?’ After all, the phone has a solid and well established build quality.

Then there is the fact that being a slider phone, placing it in a case will certainly hamper its usability.
That said, with a list price of £399 (inc. VAT), this isn’t exactly an every day phone, so adding some form of protection is a must. The Nokia CP-322 for the Nokia N86 8MP is made from tough but highly protective fabric that wraps around the device with a leather siding to hold it in place.

The CP-322 is an official Nokia product, so you know it has the assurance of quality behind it. What’s more, as you can see from our image gallery below, it’s also available in either black or grey. We’ve used the black one more, as it matches the colour of our Nokia N86 8MP more.
It’s a simple slipcase that unlike the Nokia N97 CP-382 carry case, allows you to load the device in from the side instead of from the end. This does mean you won’t be able to get access quite as easily to the audio socket. However, the tight fit of the material used does mean it won’t slide out when in your bag.
Adding very little bulk to the Nokia N86 8MP, you’ll still be able to place you phone in larger pockets. That said, we found the choice of material does prevent you from slipping it as easily into Jeans pockets, for example. We’ve found ourselves using the Nokia N86 8MP differently since using this carry case. Treating the device much more as a camera than a phone. By this we mean, putting it in a coat pocket or bag rather than in a Jeans pocket.
The Nokia CP-322 for the Nokia N86 8MP is a nice little case that more than lives up to the job of protecting your N86 8MP. Sure, it limits usability to some degree but if you’re worried about marking the OLED screen then it’s an essential purchase.
