Great news for music fans: Shazam, the top app for identifying and discovering music, is going totally free on the Ovi Store - but only for a limited time, and on a first come first served basis. Join us after the jump for all the details...
Shazam is the app that lets you identify tunes you don't know. If you hear a song you like but haven't the foggiest what it's called or who it's by, you simply hold up your phone towards it and hit Shazam's "Tag Now" option. That'll take you direct to the Nokia Music Store where the details of your tagged tune will be revealed - and you'll also have the option to download it straight away.
Shazam also lets you send tags to mates via SMS (if you think they'll like a track you've just heard), offers music reviews and artist bios, and also recommends similar music to the tracks you've tagged.
If you're quick and manage to snag yourself a free copy of Shazam, it will last until 30th November. You will then have 30 days to decide if you want to keep it or not - if you do, you can bag the fully-featured version for a one-off £4. Alternatively you can keep using a limited feature version for free.
Shazam works with S60 3.1, 3.2 and 5.0 edition phones.
