When you think of a carry case for you Nokia 6700 Classic do you think of a neat little slipcase or something a little more robust like the two-part ToughGuard? The latter fits like a glove, giving the Nokia 6700 Classic a second coat of armour. See how we got on, as we put the Nokia 6700 Classic ToughGuard to the test…

The Nokia 6700 Classic is a great looking Series 40 phone, especially if you’ve opted for the Chrome finish. It packs in a 2.2-inch screen, 5-Megapixel camera and even Nokia Maps and A-GPS.

You may not think adding a protective case to the a phone like the Nokia 6700 Classic would seem a natural fit but the ToughGuard case from MobileFun is a cost-effective and simple way to protect this great little phone.

The ToughGuard isn’t aimed at those who need a simple case, as once it’s in the case it’s intended to stay inside. So, people who use their Nokia 6700 Classic in some harsh conditions, or simply drop their phone a great deal, with appreciate it.

It comes in two halves with a base that fits the bottom half of the phone like a glove. You’ll find there are gaps for the connections and even the camera and with such a tight fit there is no room for the phone to slide about. With the gaps you won’t find this a rugged or waterproof case, but it does mean the phone is effectively wrapped in armour, so you can drop it onto hard surfaces with little or no fear of scratches or dents.

The top half has a clear perspex coating to protect the screen, while the bottom half is cut away so you can still get to your function keys and numeric pad. This half clips into the bottom half thanks to five firm gripping clips around the sides.

Sure, the ToughGuard spoils the aesthetic appeal of the Nokia 6700 Classic but if you need to use your phone in some pretty harsh conditions then you’ll be glad of the protection it offers.

The Nokia 6700 Classic ToughGuard case costs just £9.95 (inc. VAT) and is available from our good friends over at MobileFun.
