Nokia-n900-officialThe Nokia N900 has been made official, well in image form at least! The first image of the new Nokia N900 tablet has emerged online and it looks amazing! This is no blurry, hastily taken image, but an official shot showing the 3.5-inch tablet in all its glory. Find out more about the Nokia N900 tablet after the jump...

The Nokia N900 has turned up in the form of an official, albeit 'leaked', image. If the announcement yesterday of the Nokia Booklet 3G wasn't enough news for the week BEFORE Nokia World 2009, well this image confirms that Nokia has more good stuff coming out in the remainder of this year than every other company put together.

There is little extra in the way of hard facts to accompany the image, other than it confirms the presence of a strikingly similar look to the Nokia N97 flagship S60 5th Edition device. So, you'll find a 3.5-inch touchscreen but the function keys have been removed. We've also noticed that the front camera and other sensors have been grouped together on the Nokia N900 tablet.

As you can see, the image shows a nice clean interface very much in keeping with the images from the Mobile Review preview of the Nokia N900. The use of Maemo 5 instead of Symbian S60 looks like it could well be paving the way for the platform's use in future Nokia handsets.

We can expect the full rundown of facts, price and availability to come out during Nokia World 2009, which starts in a little over a week – how hot is that show going to be now?
