Nokia has introduced Nokia Money, a brand new service that allows you to use your Nokia mobile to carry out basic financial transactions. So, whether it's paying for a service or sending money abroad you'll be able to do so as easily as sending a text message. Find out how Nokia Money will change the way we view phone transactions...
Nokia Money is a brand new service that allows you to send and receive money via your Nokia mobile phone. Perhaps the beauty of the service is that it's not location sensitive, so you'll be able access the service 24 hours a day, making it far more cost effective for the user. Nokia is building a wide network of Nokia Money agents, where consumers can deposit money in or withdraw cash from their accounts.
Nokia Money will enable users to send money to another person simply using their mobile phone number. It's not juts sending and receiving money between friends, as payments for goods and services, paying your bills, or simply topping up your SIM card can also be carried out.
The Nokia Money service will be operated in co-operation with Obopay, a leader in developing global mobile payment solutions, which Nokia invested in earlier this year. The Nokia Money service will be shown at Nokia World 2009 and is planned to be rolled out in 2010.
