Nokia N900 Good For GamingThe Nokia N900 was the most popular device to be shown off at Nokia World 2009. It's clear that the use of the Maemo 5 operating system, rather than Symbian S60, has caught everyone's curiosity. However, did you know you'll also be able to play games on the Nokia N900, well it seems so. Join us after the jump to see the Nokia N900 in gaming action...

The Nokia N900 is a 3.5-inch device with a touchscreen that has been developed with messaging and mobile communication in mind. However, it seems you'll also be able to play the odd game or two on it as well.

The guys over at S60blog.com have got their hands on a video showing the Nokia N900 running the game Bounce at some pretty decent frame rates. The video is a general shoot around Nokia World 2009 and the bit you want to see doesn't kick in until 1 minute 15 seconds but there it is, Bounce in action! While this isn't anything to get overly excited about, the more we see of the Nokia N900, the more we want to get our hands on it and starting playing around with it.

The Nokia N900 is up for pre-order in the UK from Nokia Online for £499 (inc. VAT). What's more, Nokia has just added pre-postage to sweeten the deal even more for anyone pre-ordering what is likely to be one of the most sought after devices around. What do you think, is the Nokia N900 likely to be your next device, let us know in the Comments below.

Love this phone but so far not convinced about the wide availability of 3rd party apps. is there a community out there developing for maemo 5???? Will I be able to install Facebook, YouTube, BBC IPlayer, etc…sooner or later??

I am going to replace by T-mobile G1 (Android) with the N900, I have already pre-ordered it from expansys UK. It is the tablet I have been waiting for.
I hope they enable the front webcam on the N900 with Skype, that would be a big selling point.

    Waiting for delivery ;-) ………….

Rachid B yes there is a immense community on maemo with lots of developers. think it is open source and based on linux that is community driven with companies like nokia, google, intel, ibm and sun working together with lots of hackers all over the world.. it has firefox mobile and flash whereas even the iphone does not! free gps maps apps and all you can imagine.. this phone will be the killer!
