The Nokia X6 made its first public appearance as Nokia World 2009 and was quickly snapped and checked out by the world. However, one of the cool functions on the phone, a neat little music app called Playlist DJ, seems to have gone largely overlooked – until now that is. The Nokia X6 is being hotly tipped as the high-end music phone to own and while there is still no sign of it popping up for pre-order over at Nokia Online, it seems Nokia X6 nuggets and cool features keep popping up.

The Nokia X6 packs in a 3.2-inch touchscreen that comes with the new Contacts bar and Homescreen. The screen is a beauty with a true widescreen, 16:9 aspect ratio display that has been optimised for photos, video and web browsing. What’s more, this device will only be shipped with Comes With Music the music download subscription service.

The latest is a cool little app called Playlist DJ that matches the music your listening to with your mood. Now, that may sound like something developed by someone sat in an Orgone Accumulator at a Hawkwind gig but it's a neat little app that asks you to put in your mood and then chooses the most appropriate music from your collection

Now, with 32GB of potential music on your Nokia X6, you could well be in for a real treat. Playlist DJ was caught on camera at Nokia World 2009 by the guys from fonearena. However, if you want to trying out the software on your current Nokia, then you'll find a version of Playlist DJ on Ovi Store. We're not sure if this is the same version that will ship on the Nokia X6 but if you're in the mood for well, a little 'mood music' this weekend then it may well be worth checking out.
