Nokia is looking for hacksers and mod-masters to take the new Nokia N900 tablet and turn it into something completely new. This is the idea behind PUSH N900. Nokia is calling the competion 'a unique hack and mod project for designers, creatives, coders and hackers using the new Nokia N900.'
Nokia and Maemo execs have put the idea together as part of the OneDotZero festival that also saw the Nokia N900 being used as an interactive art display.
If you think you've got the chops to hack and mod your way through the Maemo 5 OS and fancy winning a Nokia N900 for your trouble, then you've got until the 11th October 2009 to get your entry in.
The action kicks off at a hack and mod workshop this weekend (18th September), as part of the OneDotZero digital arts festival at London’s South Bank. Five winning ideas will be chosen by a panel of judges, including Kari Tuutti from Nokia and Olavi Toivainen from Maemo. Each will be given Nokia N900 devices and funding to create their ideas.
