The Nokia 5800 smartphone can now gain full access to Live TV 1.1.0.7 as it has finally become available from the Nokia Software Updater. We brought you news last week that it had appeared then disappeared again just as quickly.
Fortunately, the update is now live and ready to be downloaded either through the NSU or directly to the handset where supported. To get this software through your device, select Applications > SW update. To download and install the selected updates select Options > Start update. However, it's worth pointing out that the software is only valid in a select number of countries at this point. The update hasn't shown up on our Nokia 5800 yet but we'll be keeping an eye to see if it appears.
What's more, aside working on the Nokia 5800, Live TV 1.1.0.7 also works with the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and offers full touchscreen support for both devices. The Live TV application enables use of DVB-H mobile TV services if you are using the SU-33 Nokia Bluetooth DVB-H receiver.
Check the Nokia Software Updater site for Live TV 1.1.0.7
If you get the update and use it in conjunction with the SU-33 Nokia Bluetooth DVB-H receiver, please let us know, as this would a cool gadget to have access to. In the meantime, we're sticking with BBC iPlayer.
