Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Camera Review The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic may come with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and be a dedicated music player but it also packs in a pretty decent 3.2-Megapixel camera and hardware capture buttons. Find out how we got on with our Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Camera review...

Halloween is looming so we thought we'd better check out whether the camera on the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is the ideal choice for capturing the fun on the night, as well as being a permanent record of any ghoulish apparitions that may appear!

You can fire up the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic camera right from the homescreen so getting access to the camera is quick and easy. With dedicated Capture button on the right-hand side of the phone, as well as zoom controls, you'll find this a pretty easy camera to get to grips with. That said, we found that the Capture button is a little small and flat to the body so you need to give it a firm push to activate.

However, with Carl Zeiss optics handling the image quality you can be sure that your images will look spot-on. We found that in bright light images look amazing bright and we were particularly impressed with the Macro mode on the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic as it really picks up the details.

When it comes to the getting the best from the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic, the menu system is the standard UI we've come to expect from Symbian S60 3rd Edition phones. So, you'll find the menu setup down the right-hand side of the screen, while shoot mode and images left can be found in the left-hand side corners.

You can shoot in Still or Video and the Scene Modes offers you the standard Automatic, Portrait, Landscape and Macro modes. However, you'll also find Sport, Night and Night Portrait modes, which as you can see from our test images really add to the appeal of this device. There is a lot to get to grips with in the camera but Nokia has managed to pack a good deal of the latest tech into what is quite an easy camera to use.

Overall, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic delivers some pretty amazing shots but we'd suggest you be wary of the Capture button as this is the only flaw we found on what is a pretty decent all-round camera.
