While carrying out a routine update of our Nokia N86 8MP (yes, we're still waiting for the firmware update v20.115 update so we can get a face full of Face Detection) over the weekend, we noticed that the Nokia Software Updater had had an upgrade, taking it to Nokia Software Updater v1.8.10en here in the UK. The Nokia Software Updater is what we all use for getting the latest updates for our Nokia devices. It's a desktop client for PC and over the weekend we noticed ours upgraded to Nokia Software Updater v1.8.10en.
Now, there are no physical differences to the Nokia Software Updater with this update, at least nothing we can see. So, it would seem that it's largely a case of fixing minor bugs in the background and also adding support for more devices – such as the Nokia N900 and Nokia X6 for instance?
Now, you don't need to do anything to get this update other than log on to the Nokia Software Updater and allow it to simply install.
