Nokia N-Gage seems to be on something of a roll at the moment. Last week we saw the launch of Mega Monsters, now it's the turn of Powerboat Challenge to pop up on the N-Gage showroom. This racing game on water is getting ready to be launched but you can get the scoop on the high-speed water sports after the jump...

Nokia N-Gage is promoting Powerboat Challenge with the line 'Pimp up your powerboat and go full throttle to compete against cool dudes and hot chicks in high-speed racing on twisted rivers. Prove your drive style and pass the buoys along the course to fill up your boost bar and to unlock additional tuning options.'

The premise is simple, choose a racer, choose a boat and then you can duke it out on the water around four different island locations. You'll be able to choose form straight forward thumb-on-throttle racing, time trials and eliminator rounds. Each island has a tournament round, so you can really get to grips against your rivals and with cash prizes on offer allowing you to 'pimp' your ride there is a lot at stake.

Powerboat Challenge will cost £4 when it launches later this month. At the moment it's showing up on the N-Gage website as 'Coming Soon' but we're expecting it to pop-up on our Nokia N86 8MP Showroom any time about now.
