Nokia is making Christmas come early this year. Yup, Nokia wants to bring a slice of Finnish magic to your town, by offering to bring snow, presents, Elves, Santa and some amazing food and wine chosen by top chef Marco Pierre White. At the moment, it looks like Hackney in London is in with a chance, but find out how to make your town Number One after the jump…
Remember the Alexandra Burke competition that Nokia has running, which asks whole towns to get involved with the chance to get a tip-top gig? Well, Nokia has spun the idea out with a more seasonal twist and is offering your town the chance to get a ‘real’ Finnish Christmas this year. That means more snow than your kids will have ever seen in their life, Reindeers, Elves, presents and everything we expect from a fun Christmas, all overseen by the man in red himself, Santa Claus!
From what we can gather there will be five different towns each winning its own Finnish Christmas spectacular. How do we know this? Well, Nokia has posted the latest winners in five areas:
South: Winchester
North: Failsworth
Wales: Wrexham
London: Hackney
Scotland: Johnstone
And as you can see, Hackney is heading up the vote for London, while up in Scotland its Johnstone that is leading the way. If you want to make a difference and get Nokia to come to your town then you'll need to get your friends and family involved and voting right away, as this competition won't be running too long.
To get involved you need to VOTE FOR SNOW and get everyone in your town involved. You’ll need to share the good news and the good will with your friends and family via email, text, Facebook and Twitter but the more votes your town gets, the better your chances.
So, what are you waiting for, Christmas is coming early this year!
