Nokia is claiming that the Nokia Booklet 3G is capable of lasting for up to 12 hours in average use. Now, that's a pretty amazing feat considering that the average laptop can only last five hours and even the best netbooks around can only manage between seven and ten hours. Find out how Nokia manages to pack so much juice into the Nokia Booklet 3G and what's more, find out if it's true...
The average netbook comes with a 6-cell battery pack, which should be good for between seven and ten hours. What's more, the more budget models come with a 3-cell that will allow you to wibble around for up to three hours.
One of the reasons the Nokia Booklet 3G is a mini-laptop and not some basic netbook is that Nokia has packed more into the Nokia Booklet 3G in th eway of features than you'll find in any other device. This even means packing in an amazing 16-cell battery and still deliver a machine that weighs in at 1.3kg!
Nokia lists this as a '16 cell, 56.8 Wh, Li-Ion prismatic battery', which sounds pretty impressive to us. What this battery life shows is that the Nokia Booklet 3G is no netbook, as some claim, but a fully-fledged mini-laptop marvel.

So, much so that we're going to put the battery life claims to the test. In the best Hollywood style, 'it's 106 miles to Chicago (well in our case we're off to Brighton) we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses', which can mean only one thing: we're going to be testing the Nokia Booklet 3G battery life until it drops. We'll let you know how we got on next week!
