The Nokia N97 Mini may take its styling and lead from the Nokia N97 but it's very much a device in its own right. The first time you see it, you get the feeling that Nokia has gone back to the design table and looked for ways to fine-tune this device.

For starters, the body of the Nokia N97 Mini feels more compact and nicely rounded than the Nokia N97. Sure, that's partly due to the smaller 3.2-inch screen used but the finish is fantastic! Then there is the QWERTY keyboard, which we've known for some time has been reworked to be more compact.

The keyboard feels really good and rests in the hands nice and comfortably. The Space bar is still off to the right, which feels a little awkward on first use, but at least it's larger than on the Nokia N97.
