Nokia has announced a new S60 handset in the form of the Nokia 670 Slide. What's more, it’s certainly a bit of an eye-catcher coming in six striking colours. The new device, known as the Nokia 6700 Slide, should land in the first quarter of 2010. Read on after the jump for more details about Nokia’s new colourful venture.

The Nokia 6700 slide will come in the following colours: Aluminium, pink, petrol-blue, red, lime and purple. In addition, Nokia have thrown in a 5-Megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with dual LED flash and a dedicated camera button, as well as full support for 3G, HSDPA/HSUPA and social networking.

The Nokia 6700 will be powered by a Symbian S60 OS and has a 2.2-inch screen, as well as 29 hours of audio playback, an FM radio and facilities for editing, uploading and sharing images on sites such as Facebook and Flickr.

The device itself, which should be available in the first quarter of 2010, is priced at a reasonable 160 Euros, which is around £140 at the latest exchange rates.
