The Nokia N900, which was previously thought be a strictly ‘landscape only’ device, apparently has a glitch in its OS that’ll let you switch it into portrait mode with a little bit of the right know-how - sounds like an urban myth doesn’t it? Well, it’s not, read on after the jump for more details.
According to talk.maemo.org, one of its users, a guy called Guyver, has managed to run his Nokia N900 in portrait mode, which was previously thought to be impossible.
Apparently, getting the phone to switch to portrait mode was achieved by tilting the handset to launch the phone application then sliding up the screen and closing the phone application. However, the inexorable Guyver, says that he probably couldn’t do it again - even if he tried!
