The Nokia Ovi Store – the one stop drive through job for all your Nokia smartphone apps, utilities, wallpapers and games – will be one year old next year. George Linardos, Nokia’s vice president of product, media, has apparently stated that a new version of the Nokia Ovi Store is 'being built in the background' and will be set to launch in the Spring. This won't be a Ovi Store 2.0, or dramatic re-imagining, more a tighter focus on getting the key aspects of the site working smoother and better.
These improvements it seems will be a more intuitive interface, so users can get to apps for their device faster and easier, and speed, so getting what you need will be easier. There are no details on what the new interface of Ovi Store will look like so we'll have to wait and see.
According to the report on electricpig, we're most likely to get the first glimpses of the new UI at Mobile World Congress in February. One thing is for sure, it looks like 2010 is going to be a great year for Nokia.
