Got a Nokia N86 8MP and looking to make the most of Face Detection? Then you'll need the latest v20.115 firmware update. The update was first announced back in October but it only now seems to have filtered down to our Nokia N86 8MP. Find out more about this latest firmware update after the jump...
The Nokia N86 8MP Firmware Update Version 20.115 has been a long time coming but it finally showed up our handset over the weekend. This is the update we've been waiting for as it brings with it both improved image and video quality. There is also a newly built-in red-eye removal tool that will make editing images on the fly a whole lot easier.
However, it's the arrival of Face Detection that makes the Nokia N86 8MP firmware v20.115 update a vital step forward. This new tool makes getting the perfect image a whole lot easier as it zooms in on the users face, making them the focal point of the picture.
What's more, there is a new focal point indicator, which shows you exactly where in the scene the camera is focussing. Both of these features have arrived just in time for the Christmas season and we're looking forward to testing them out over the next few days.
The Nokia N86 8MP firmware v20.115 update also brings with it a wide number of functionality fixes, such as an OVI Chat shortcut on the homescreen, 70MB of space freed up, as well as a noticeable speed boost from most apps.
