Video: PUSH N900 hackers in action

solderin-skatersOne of the main advantages of the Nokia N900's Maemo operating system is that it's open source - meaning developers and hackers can push it right to the limit of its capabilities. Nokia set up the PUSH N900 project to demonstrate the scope of the Nokia N900's modability, and back in September it picked five teams to let loose on the tablet. Hit the jump to see how the first of them – called Solderin' Skaters – is getting on.

The video below documents how the German team has got started on its skate-themed project. Basically, they're strapping a Nokia N900 to a skateboard and using its talents to record the tricks and stunts pulled off by the skater. Check it out:
