Nokia invests heavily in Swype’s touchscreen typing technology
We all know that typing messages and emails on touchscreen devices can sometimes be, well, a bit of a pain, which is probably why a lot of new devices, including the Nokia N900, have a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
That said, touchscreen typing is still a work-in-progress and it’s certainly not the finished article just yet. Nokia seems to understand this and has recently invested in a Seattle-based Tech company, Swype, that is developing some serious improvements, which if realised, will see some mighty improvements within the touchscreen typing paradigm.
