The Nokia Ovi Store Weekly newsletter launchedThe Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has been taking place in Las Vegas, USA, this week and we've been waiting for Friday to roll around as that's the day Nokia comes out to play with a keynote speech from Nokia CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, as well as plans for the months ahead. The first big news concerns Ovi Store and it hitting one million daily downloads. Find out more after the jump...

We're not expecting any big announcements from Nokia at CES, maybe the Nokia Mystic will get an outing but tht's unlikely, as 3GSM later this year, which is phone-centric, tends to offer better exposure. However, that doesn't mean we're not expecting statements like this: the Nokia Ovi Store is now be accessed more than one million times a day across a range of over 100 devices. The news was delivered as part of Nokia's opening day at CES.

The Ovi Store launched some six months ago and while it has taken a little time to ramp up the level of content, it seems to be finding a place for itself in the market. Later this year we're expecting to see a major revamp of how the Ovi Store looks and acts, so Nokia has high-hopes that this figure will seriously start to grow in the coming months.
