Ovi Store Opens Up for Nokia N900 The Nokia N900 received a small firmware update yesterday in readiness for the addition of the Maemo 5 handset to the Nokia Ovi Store. Nokia Conversations, the official Nokia Blog, has just announced that the Nokia N900 Ovi Store has gone live. We knew it was only a matter of time before it happened but Ovi Store is now allowing downloads for the Nokia N900.

You'll be able to search for apps either from the web on the device itself, directly through the Ovi Store icon that was part of the recent update or through the web browser on your laptop. Whichever way you intend to shop for apps, the Ovi Store will be the place to head to.

In fairness, it's early days yet for the Nokia N900 Ovi Store but we're expecting a host of new apps to be added over the coming days and weeks.Some of the more popular choices are already up there, such as Qik for N900, Pocket Calculator Touch and TuneWiki and more are being added.
