It's been a fantastic couple of weeks for the Nokia N900, with loads of software being developed and released. The latest application to be seen running on a Nokia N900 is Spotify – a music social networking application that lets you share and play your favourite tracks. To find out how to get Spotify on your Nokia N900, read on after the break...
The Spotify app on the Nokia N900 has appeared after Spotify itself declared that it wouldn't be developing a client for the N900's Maemo 5 operating system. Instead, a developer by the name of Eskil has come up with his own solution.
Unlike the recent influx of unofficial software for the Nokia N900 – such as Duke Nukem or Google Maps – adding Spotify doesn't appear to be an easy fix. You'll need a Premium subscription to access it, and you'll also have to compile your own code.
That said, you will be able to follow a how-to guide on Eskil's blog, making things slightly easier. As always, make sure you back up all your important files before making any changes. And bare in mind that it's not a perfect solution, with a couple of bugs still present. Check below to see Spotify in action on a Nokia N900.
