Nokia X6 The Nokia X6 16GB is the latest addition to the X Series music range, and was launched this afternoon following days of rumours. What's more, pre-orders are already being taken at a range of sites - we’ve already found it for £50 less than what was expected to be the RRP, making the Nokia X6 16GB something of a bargain. Read on to find out where to get Nokia’s latest smartphone for just £299…

Since the boss of Nokia UK – Mark Loughran – hinted that there would be a product launch today, speculation on the internet has been rife. However, we correctly predicted that the company would launch a 16GB variant of the Nokia X6, following re-branding of the existing Nokia X6 32GB.

Unlike the Nokia X6 32GB, the new Nokia X6 16GB is available without Comes With Music, which further helps to keep the cost down. Other than that, the features are identical, meaning a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, 5-Megapixel camera offering Carl Zeiss optics, and high-end connectivity including Wi-Fi and GPS.

The most surprising aspect of the Nokia X6 16GB is the fact you can pre-order it from sites like Play and Handtec for just £300. According to Play, the Nokia X6 16GB is due to come out on the 23rd February and saving a whopping £149 on the Nokia X6 32GB, making this one of Nokia’s most affordable high-end smartphones.

Nokia didn't put a price on the Nokia X6 16GB announcement but have been in touch to say the Nokia X6 16GB will go up for pre-order tomorrow for £299 (inc. VAT) SIM free from Nokia Online, making this the best deal around. Operators will be able to offer the Nokia X6 16GB from the 24th February on tarriffs from £25 a month.
