With Nokia releasing some pretty amazing stats about the number of people downloading and using its free Ovi Maps, we thought we'd go a little deeper and see who actually is making the most of the service, and it seems that Nokia 5800 users use the service the most. Find out more about Nokia 5800 being tops when it comes to Ovi Maps....
This morning Nokia stated that 1.4 million people have downloaded and started to use Ovi Maps 3.03 within its first week of release. When first launched there were 10 devices on the list that supported the new maps, with the Nokia N97 quickly being added to the list.

However, it's interesting to see that Nokia 5800 users are the top downloaders of the app, quickly followed by other Symbian S60 5th Edition devices Nokia N97 mini, Nokia N97 and Nokia 5230.
Given that the update for the Nokia N97 only went live a couple of days ago, users have been keen to catch up on lost sat-nav time. After all, the 3.5-inch screen of the Nokia N97 is perfect for making the most of turn-by-turn navigation and 3D maps. Bringing up the fifth spot is the first S60 3rd Edition smartphone, with the Nokia E72 owners getting their hands on the app.
What's more, as for the end of January, the most top countries no longer finding themselves lost are China, Italy, UK, Germany and Spain. It seems the world is making the most of free navigation and with Nokia expected to roll out support across all GPS enabled Nokia devices, it won't be long until all devices are supported.
