Ovi Map Racing, the game concept previously known as Nokia Maps Racing, has been doing the rounds for close to a year. It's a racing game that allows you to use the GPS built into your Nokia smartphone to make neat race tracks of your home town or anywhere in the world you like - think of it as 'Gone in 60 Seconds' in miniature. A couple of weeks ago we brought you news that Ovi Maps Racing would soon be appearing on the Ovi Store. Well, that day has come and the racing game set in your own neighbourhood is now ready to download.
Ovi Maps Racing allows you to create race tracks around your own town or just about anywhere in the world. The guys over at Nokia Conversations sum the game up as 'you use the GPS in your device to find your location (or use Ovi Maps to choose any location in the world), then customise a track around your neighborhood, and finally fire up those engines.'
The game is now available to download and looks like being a fun way to use your GPS when not getting from A to B.
