nokia-x3-unboxing-12The Nokia X3 is the entry-level sibling to the Nokia X6 and is the second device to be launched as part of the new X Series of music phones. It's set to be the next launch from Nokia and we've managed to get our hands on one to test out over the next few days. Find out what comes in the package with our Nokia X3 unboxing...

The first thing to strike you with the Nokia X3 is how small and compact the box is, which helps keep your carbon footprint down. The box is small but it includes everything you need, from the Nokia X3 itself to a standard charger, headphones, mini-sync cable and documentation.

The Nokia X3 is a 2.2-inch music phone with 320 x 240-pixel screen that uses the Series 40 OS. It comes with a 3.2-Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM Radio and built-in music player. It comes with up to 46MB of user storage, which can be added to by a further 8GB using the microSD slot. The Music Player comes with extended play list support, including MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+, WMA and WMV formats and you can access you music directly from the hardware as there is a row of function buttons to the left of the screen.

The slide action of the phone was initially stiffer than we were expecting but it opens to reveal a decent sized keypad. All the buttons on the Nokia X3 are a good size, so making the most of data input seems easy. We've only been playing with it for a short time but it feels well built and solid in the hand. We'll be putting it through its paces in the next few days to see how well it works as both a music player and a phone.

The Nokia X3 is now available to pre-order from Nokia Online and can be yours for just £129 (inc. VAT) SIM free.  You can choose from either Blue and Silver, or Red and Black. While you're waiting for it to arrive, check out our unboxing below.
