Nokia-and-the-Noisettes-music-videoOver the past couple of years Nokia has become famed for the camera quality on smartphones such as the Nokia N95 and Nokia 5800, helped no doubt by the Carl Zeiss optics. Nokia has taken this to the next step, however, and created an entire music video for the Noisettes using just Nokia smartphones. Find out more, and see the video itself after the jump…

Although we’ve long been fans of the cameras on devices such as the Nokia N95, Nokia N96 and Nokia N5800, with phenomenal photograph and video quality on offer, it’s a surprise to find out it’s actually possible to shoot an entire music video using just mobile phones.

The Noisettes, with the help of Nokia, have done just this, however, and the result is surprisingly good. Those of you expecting a dark, poorly shot and poorly edited video are in for a surprise, with clever directing, a well lit and dynamic feel, and a special something that helps it to stand out from other music videos.

As well as being shot by several hundred fans around the band, the video has also been edited by fans, with over 160 hours of video clips viewable online at shotbyfans. We’ve just spent the past 20 minutes looking at some of the footage, and all-in it’s a really interesting and well executed idea.

Don’t just take our word for it, however, check out the idea behind the Noisettes video below:
