Unlike many cases, the Proporta Aluminium Lined Leather Case for the Nokia N97 Mini is made up of several different parts. The main cover and rear are both made out of leather, with an aluminium insert to help protect your phone should you drop it.

The fit and finish of this case is truly excellent, with the Nokia N97 Mini held in place perfectly. The quality of the stitching is impressive, and this case feels every bit a premium product. There’s also a magnetic clip that keeps the case shut and the screen protected when you’re on the move.

Internally, there’s a plastic cradle that attaches to the rear of your Nokia N97 Mini. There are four tiny edges that clip over the lower half of the phone, holding it in place yet still allowing you to lift the screen up and access the QWERTY keypad. As such, there’s never any need to take it out of the case, allowing maximum protection at all times.

The only downside we can see in the Proporta Aluminium Lined Leather Case is the fact it makes the Nokia N97 that little bit bigger. It’s not a lot, but the Nokia N97 Mini isn’t that small a phone in the first place. It just depends how much you want to protect your phone – for us, the level of quality and protection on offer makes it worth the extra bulk.
